Please tell us a bit about yourself
I’m one of the Skippers at the Tall Ships Youth Trust and I have been here for 10 years. I started out as Mate (1st paid Mate) and then progressed to Skipper. Before my sailing career started, I worked in the City of London for a Merchant Bank and did that for 21 years. I enjoy watching my local football team Gillingham, travel and spending time with friends.
Please tell us a bit about your role at Tall Ships Youth Trust
I am responsible for running the voyages and making sure that the crew and boat are safe and they have a good time.
What has been your most memorable moment at Tall Ships Youth Trust?
Over the 10 years I have had many memorable moments and because the trips are so varied, you never know when the next one will happen. If pushed, I would say my first trip as Skipper.
What is one thing you think people should know about Tall Ships Youth Trust?
It is a life-changing experience.
