Please tell us a bit about yourself
I started working at Tall Ships Youth Trust in April 2023, after a short career break to spend more time with my young children. Before that, I worked in various fundraising and event roles for more than 10 years, and I have a degree in Fashion Journalism.
When I’m not at work I love spending time with my family and our crazy cocker spaniel pup Nala. I love travelling and if I ever have the time, I like to do a spot of yoga.
Please tell us a bit about your role at Tall Ships Youth Trust?
I’m the Individual Giving and Membership Lead at TSYT, my role is to help inspire people to support our important cause, sharing stories and updates with donors, running appeals and supporting donors on their journey. Whether they are planning on running a marathon, organising their own fundraising event, or becoming a TSYT member – I help them every step of the way.
What has been your most memorable moment?
I’m very new, so I haven’t had the chance to meet our young people yet – but so far, my most memorable moment is having a tour of one of our Challengers, it really helped bring to life the incredible experience the young people have out at sea and how life changing it must be for them.
What is one thing you think people should know about Tall Ships Youth Trust?
Everyone who works here is truly passionate about what they do and the cause, there is a lovely inclusive culture, and the voyages really do change the lives of young people in such a positive way.
