Operational update — Covid procedures
Following the announcement that all remaining Covid restrictions have been lifted in England, we have reviewed and updated our Covid sailing processes in line with the Government’s ‘Living with Covid’ plan.
The key changes you will see:
- There is no longer a requirement for our staff or voyagers to take a lateral flow test before joining the vessel. However, you may wish to still do so
- If you do take a test and the result is positive, you need to communicate this to us and you will not be able to travel. Government guidance recommends you stay at home and avoid contact with others for five days from the test result. Providing you can supply proof of your positive result, we can offer you a credit to be used as payment, or part payment, for a future reservation booked within six months from the date of cancellation
- The wearing of face masks/coverings is not compulsory when onboard our vessels. Although, we encourage you to still bring one to wear for any shoreside facilities that require a face covering to be worn
Our sailing staff will continue to practise and encourage regular handwashing and sanitising of all touchpoints onboard our vessels. Staff will also remain aware of the general health and wellbeing of all crew onboard.
Group voyages
We’ll continue to work with groups on any specific or varying Covid Procedures that they are required to follow.
Overseas voyages
For voyages that plan to visit ports outside of England (including the Channel Islands), all Crew Members will need to meet the requirements of the countries being visited.
This varies considerably by country and is changing all the time, so we strongly advise you to monitor country requirements at the time of booking and closer to your departure. Additional and voyage specific information will be included with your joining instructions.
