One day until our Champions for Children campaign with The Childhood Trust goes live.
The campaign is aimed at helping disadvantaged young people from London, who have been badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
1 in 3 children living in poverty in London are experiencing post-lockdown mental health issues (twice the national average).
You can make a difference to the lives of these young people.
Please help by supporting our campaign to raise funds to send 10 young people on a life-changing Voyage of Recovery with Tall Ships Youth Trust. To do this we need your help to reach our campaign target of £8,400.
Every pound you donate via our campaign page on the Big Give website between midday on Tuesday 8th June and midday Tuesday 15th June will be matched at no extra cost to you.
Research from The Childhood Trust has shown:
- 75% of charity respondents reported that their children are still experiencing food insecurity, even though children have returned to school
- 82% of charity respondents reported that their beneficiaries were experiencing serious mental health issues as a direct result of lockdown measures
- 1 in 3 children living in poverty in London are experiencing post-lockdown mental health issues (twice the national average)
