Set sail from Portsmouth on this seven-night voyage to Belfast onboard one of our world-famous 72ft Challenger yachts.

Experience new adventures at sea and create lifelong memories along the way — as you journey past the stunning Jurassic and Cornish coasts where, if you’re lucky, you could spot dolphins, seals and fin whales.

On a clear day, you may also spot several picturesque lighthouses including Eddystone in Cornwall, Bishop Rock in the Isles of Scilly and even Hook Lighthouse in County Wexford, Ireland — the oldest operational lighthouse in the world!

This voyage is aimed at young people aged 18-25 and qualifies for the residential section of the DofE Gold Award.

Throughout the week, you’ll learn and experience steering a yacht, sail handling, ropework and keeping safe onboard. You’ll be involved in all aspects of sailing the Challenger from looking after her to cooking and cleaning.

Following your departure in Belfast on the Saturday, you may choose to take the opportunity to explore this rich and vibrant city, which includes the Titanic Belfast museum, Belfast City Hall and official Game of Thrones' film location tours.

There’s a possibility you could be recommended by the Skipper to come back and volunteer as a Watch Assistant or Watch Leader for future Tall Ships Youth Trust voyages.
