Voyage Highlights

Experience the thrill of sailing one of our iconic ocean-going yachts on this French Adventure voyage. This is the perfect mile-builder for anyone looking to expand their sailing knowledge with hands-on experience of offshore sailing.

The first day will include a meet and greet followed by a safety briefing, before setting the sails and starting the adventure. You will begin by heading into the Solent before preparing to cross the English Channel through challenging shipping lanes and challenging tides. Depending on the weather conditions and route plan, which will be discussed at the start of the voyage, you may stop in the Channel Islands before arriving in Brittany’s most visited city, St Malo. You will have some time to explore this historic town before leaving to return to Gunwharf Quays.

Throughout your voyage, you will build your sailing knowledge whilst having fun and making friends. You will be involved with all aspects of sailing the yacht from looking after the boat to cooking and cleaning. This voyage will extend your sailing knowledge by experiencing watch systems and night sailing.

There is a possibility you could be recommended to the Trust by the Skipper to come back and volunteer as a Watch Assistant or Watch Leader for future Tall Ships voyages.

Whilst every effort will be made to deliver the above voyage content sometimes, due to weather and crew’s ability, the content may need to change. Please see below for our full Conditions of Booking.
