Please tell us a bit about yourself

I started my career in communications more than 20 years ago as a journalist on an evening newspaper. Since then I've worked as a head of communications for a large housing association and ran my own company specialising in PR and internal communications.

I'm passionate about working with organisations that help and improve the lives of others.

I'm married to Ben and we have two children, Sarah (14) and David (12) and a Staffy, called Bernie. Outside of work, I'm a Sea Scout leader and a regular volunteer at our local sailing club.

I enjoy running, water sports and camping.

Please tell us a bit about your role at Tall Ships Youth Trust?

What has been your most memorable moment?

Still early days but coordinating BBC radio and TV interviews with our CEO, Richard, in my second week!

What is one thing you think people should know about Tall Ships Youth Trust?

That we exist to improve the lives of young people by providing them with life-changing adventures at sea.
