Challenger 3 – 12 – 15 WATCH ASSISTANT AND WATCH LEADER TRAINING

By Tall Ships - August 14th, 2018 | Posted in Voyager blogs No comments

Day One

On Friday, we arrived at 1900 and entered challenger 3. Sam then occupied us for the evening until it was dinner which was sweet and sour! We then proceeded to play games until bed time.

Day Two

Early morning 0730, which starboard watch cooked yummy bacon rolls (sadly with no KEPTCHUP). After Breakfast we went through briefings and procedure checks. We then set of at 1130 heading for Yarmouth. During this journey we did many tacks, going faster than challenger 1!! Then we found out that there was one berth at Yarmouth so we had to change to Lymington. After getting sails down and motoring into port we then had to put away the sails and have a very long wait for dinner to arrive, Fish and chips or sausage and chips.
