Challenger 2 – WIRRAL SCHOOLS
Day One
On day one most of the crew met at Mosslands high school. Then the rest of the crew was met at bromboruogh police station. All of us then travelled to Portsmouth (6 hours in a minibus ugh!) We finally arrived at Portsmouth at about 1:00pm. As we arrived we had to start off with team work trying to get our bags onto the boat (which was hard). After we had got out bags onto the boat we had time to fight over which cots (beds) we got, we then had time to unpack which was chaotic. We then had a tour of the boat and we were told what was what and most importantly… how to flush the head (toilet).
About an hour later we got kitted up in our oil skins, finally set sail for the isle of white. Luckily none of us were sea sick. When we arrived at Cowes we docked into the pontoon and set up for our dinner. For our dinner we had chicken fajitas (mmm tasty). After a very long day we went to bed at 9:45pm and lights out was at 10:00pm. We were all so tired (really tired)

Day Two
We woke up at 7:30 to meet everyone at the table for breakfast. After breakfast we started our day with an Easter egg hunt on the deck of the boat. We had 30 minutes ashore to browse the very few shops at the port before we got ourselves kitted up, ready for a day of sailing. We started at Cowes and finished our long journey to Poole. The journey was tough with many suffering with seasickness, the cold weather didn’t help us either. After the journey we all helped park and tidy the deck, coiling the sheets and storing them on the front. Many darted to the showers after this journey before coming back to the boat for chicken and chips. After our meal we spent the rest of the night relaxing, playing card games and cleaning the dishes before heading to bed.
