Day 1
Monday 18
We arrived at 13:00 and got onboard, put our stuff below decks and went to sit in an awkward silence before we got chatting about boats and sailing.
We then put the Staysail onto the Stay and got the lines on deck. Then we took the cover off the Mainsail, had a talk about life jackets and received our wet weather gear before setting off.
We headed from Portsmouth to Cowes, and when we arrived at Cowes and nearly crashed into a big boat, an old-style tall ship made of wood, there was a little stress among the crew. We are now sitting in port and we’re about to enjoy the Cowes showers.
Update: The showers are good!

Day 2
Tuesday 19
In the form of a poem….
Went on a boat
Luckily it float
Needed big coat
Rain made wet
Made sail set
Cold we did get
Sailing the sea
Drinking lots of tea
Slight injuries
We’re fine, don’t worry
Day 3
Wednesday 20
With a cold start, we all reluctantly got out of bed and started the day with a bright light. Literally. The sun was shining, the seagulls were annoying, and everything was good.
We travelled over rolling waves, headed to Weymouth. With some climbing and some lessons on flares, we arrived at Weymouth. Finally, a shower.
Caitlin cut the pasta.
Day 4
