After we waved goodbye to our parents we started to explore the ship

We learnt many things about the ship: it is 57 tonnes, a keel is 3 meters underneath the water.

Once out of the harbour mouth, we began to prepare the sails. We were split into two teams, port and Starbort. There are 12 of us on this ship along with 5 crew members. So far we have gotten along and been fairly civil. We have been laughing pretty much constantly. We now have a list of people’s preferred hot drink. We have named the parrot Yet but we are being forced to have a vote still. Once we arrived at Yarmouth we were served dinner that was cooked by port. It was scrumptious. We have had a great first day, looking forward to the next.

We have had a good day, well only for some of us. Those few lucky people were not susceptible to the sea sickness that infected our boat. We were hit with waves 3 meters and bigger, the crew have now affectionately named challenger 1 the “Vomit comet”!

We then pulled into Poole harbour and stopped for a spot of lunch, pasties and beans!!!

We were then tasked with the challenge of finding the tackiest tat on offer for under £2, starboard watch got some Poole mints and Port got a bottle of Lucozade?????

After enjoying the slowest cooking pizzas ever we played spoons and everyone was thoroughly caked in chocolate mousse.

Harvey

As day 3 began like always we got up made breaky (WE HAD BACON) and got on with the jobs on the boat so we could start sailing. We sailed from Poole to Weymouth. Our trip was fairly calm, everyone is still alive and no one went overboard so it was a successful day. Although we did do a Man Overboard (M.O.B) drill which was scary until we realised it was just a drill. We arrived in Weymouth after a 5 hour voyage and chicken wraps for lunch. After we docked we went on an adventured around the town to seek out some bandanas. We are now all wearing our unique bandanas and looking like we are all apart of awesome gangs!!!(Except for three who refused to waste their precious money on it).  Toby bought a humongous, hollow, chocolate fish and called it Simon, naturally. He also bought a gob stopper the size of our fist and smashed it on the ground. We went crabbing and our amazingly generous boat neighbours gave us mackerel heads to help, it was successful until it bit Mel. Libby bought a super loud speaker on our adventure as well so we now sound cool as well as looking cool. When we were performing ‘baby shark’ on the boat to passer byers we could tell they were very jealous!!! During our performance dinner was cooking and we enjoyed a delicious spag bol. Now we are going to play some quizzes so bye, bye.

We set off at around nine O’clock and were on our way to Guernsey it was a long 12 hour journey and we sat by the end of the boat and listened to some tunes. We had our sleeping bags out then Sam was boring and told us to put them back, (we did eventually) we arrived at Guernsey and went on a small tour before heading back to the boat and the boys for once went to sleep in within 30 minutes. (Legendary)  On the way to Guernsey we saw container ships (busses) we also did doughnuts. We saw jellyfish and dolphins.

We woke up late at Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight and at around 10 am we set off for Cowes so we could refuel. 1500 litres of diesel later we set off for Portsmouth. While we were in the Solent Monkey decided to do some donuts whilst that was happening me (toby) libby and brooke decided to create the BABY SHARK café which we kept up running all day.

AT AROUND QUARTER TO 6 I DECIDED TO GET EVERYONE TO SIGN MY HAT IN EVERY BIT OF THE RAINBOW TO REMEMBER MY TIME WITH MY NEW FAMILY. <3

The start of the day a great discovery was made, BLORANGE! Toby and Teo chugged 3 bottles of double strength concentrate (mental!!!)

It was also a significant celebration for Alex who turned 14 today!!! We pulled into Studland bay and anchored next to Old harry and his wife. At 2 o’clock in the morning we flaked the sail and were in bed by 2:30.

After 40 winks we had breakfast and set about inflating the dingy.

With the dingy ready to go we set of to the beach, most opted to do fun swimming and sandcastles while Timelord, Rubix and briefcase went off to old Harry’s rocks.

After some tasty jacket potatoes made by Monkey we set about party preparations!!!

With party stuff over we set sail and off we went! The trip to the IOW was shorter than expected as we moored at Yarmouth rather than Cowes.

We all had showers and then had FISH AND CHIPS!!!
