Day One

Today we begin our voyage to Brixham by starting with a night sail. We prepped the deck and headed of at about 6:00pm. Surprisingly it was very hot in the day but grew extremely cold in the night, although challenging everyone found the sailing very enjoyable. Despite the feeling quite tired and cold at night all fell asleep very easily after our watches and were able to see fantastic views of the Milky Way. On Tuesday we arrived in Brixham at 1:00pm, after we arrived we all had showers and had a delicious BBQ. We saw also dolphins upon our arrival into the harbour. Everybody slept really well and there was no noise apart from a lot of snoring.

Day Two

The weather on Wednesday was quite wet and windy but it made the journey to Salcombe exciting. Fortunately, everyone was pleasantly full after an amazing barbeque breakfast. We were shown around a lifeboat that was large and thrilling with an exciting tour of the lifeboat station with the Atlantic 85 RNLI boat.

Day Three

Today we set off from Salcombe at 8am, several hours later we opened café Challenger 2, with fresh scones, clotted cream and an assortment of jams. After we left Devonian waters we had a ‘fire drill’ this included filling buckets with tap water and sea water and throwing it in to the cockpit. Once we had extinguished the fire , it was converted it into a paddling pool and all of us dipped our toes in it. We liberated a duck and allowed it to float in the pool. After we docked up at the harbour in Weymouth we received shirts from the tall ship trust and then went out to an #AllYouCanEatBuffet and enjoyed a selection of Indonesian, Indian, Chinese and Thai food with ice cream and jelly for desert. Once we had walked back to the ship some of us played Exploding Kittens and for a third time this trip Alex won. Then we all went to bed.
