King Edward School join us on Challenger 3 and 4 for a 4-night residential. Follow their journey below.

Day 1

Monday, 1 July

We bravely set off from gun kee wolf, in our trusty boat with sales and a kitchen. We spotted dolphins and at harbour a jellyfish.

We learnt how to put up the say sale. And Cranked the day stay sale. We learnt basic safety and how to steer. Learning which side is the high side And why. We discovered sea monsters and using our hammers we borrowed from Thor we fought them off heroically.

James started to scream like a baby and begged Lottie to save him.

For dinner we had spag boil and garlic bread, three of us coking and 4 of us washing up. Then we went to the shops to get pudding,

Day 2

Tuesday, 2 July

We woke up in Cowes harbour to the sound of the red funnel ferries leaving the bay. After a hearty breakfast of delicious bagels with a wide range of great jams and other preserves along with a staple of many peoples breakfasts the humble yet understated cereal with refreshing milk to finish.

We then practised man overboard drills which was very fun. Most of our crew members were even being rescued or rescuing. After this we raced out of the harbour hours before the puny other KES boat leaving them in our wake.

Whilst at sea we learn how to do sailing stuff which I will not dive into as it was complicated but I understood it 100%. Then we did another drill where I bravely rescued Jimmy the buoy from the chilling rapids of the Solent. We then went to Yarmouth where nothing was open and other stuff might still happen as it is still Tuesday…
