A TSYT festive day sail brings the gifts of excitement, challenge and team building…

By George - November 8th, 2021 | Posted in News No comments

Are you charged with organising your team’s Christmas celebration this year? Why not escape the office for a day at sea as a fun alternative to the standard festive lunch?

Avoid the crowded pubs and restaurants and opt for a festive day sail with Tall Ships Youth Trust onboard one of our iconic 72ft Challenger yachts.

Experience an exhilarating day sailing the Solent and celebrate your team’s efforts working cohesively as a unit as you learn the ropes and have a go at helming (steering) a world-famous yacht under the guidance of our expert crew.

Of course, if some prefer to sit back and let the others take care of the sailing while you enjoy the winter sea air, that’s OK too! No previous sailing experience is needed.

To ensure we offer you the full experience, we usually depart in the morning and return late afternoon. However, start and finish times can be tailored to suit your preferences.

On our return to Gunwharf Quays, we’ll toast your achievements with a complimentary glass of mulled wine and mince pies, which you can enjoy while listening to some Christmas songs (singing is optional!) and overlooking the marina, lit up by the Spinnaker Tower (weather permitting).

Lunch and hot and cold drinks (non-alcoholic) are all included. However, we can tailor this to meet your team’s/group’s needs. We also provide the necessary wet weather clothing and lifejackets for your group.

Added philanthropic bonus…

We want you to know that all proceeds from our adult voyages help to fund our life-changing youth development work for young people aged 12-25.

If Christmas isn’t the right time for you, we offer team building experiences all-year round. Find out more here.
