LOCAL youth development charity, Tall Ships Youth Trust has thanked Waitrose in Southsea for supporting its life-changing work with young people.

Tall Ships Youth Trust, trustee, Philippe d’Ornano and his daughter, Zoë (12), were delighted to receive the cheque for £333 from Waitrose Community Champion, Alice Lawrie and Team Manager Partner, Jo Anthony.

Philippe said: “We’re thankful for the generosity and support of our local Waitrose team and their customers. This money will go towards providing local young people, who have been badly affected by the pandemic, with a life-changing experience at sea.”

Alice Lawrie, added: “We want to help local young people by supporting a charity that offers those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged a totally different experience away from their normal environment, which provides enjoyment through adventure learning.”
