Carol Freeman Please tell us a bit about yourself After leaving college in 1981, I became an au pair in Paris (I originally wanted to be a linguist). On returning to the UK I started working in an office as a junior secretary. My career continued on this route, which led to me being a PA for 16 years for a CEO/Chairman of a FTSE 250 company. Towards the end of that period I qualified with two postgraduate certificates – MBA (Business) and CIPD (HR) – the plan was to move into an HR career. My HR career was then put on hold with the arrival of triplets! I have worked at Tall Ships Youth Trust for 11 years – moving from part-time to full time as my children have grown older. In my spare time I enjoy having fun with my family! Please tell us a bit about your role at Tall Ships Youth Trust In my role as Fundraising Officer I focus on High Level Donors, individual giving and cash appeals.
