Carol Freeman Please tell us a bit about yourself After leaving college in 1981, I became an au pair in Paris (I originally wanted to be a linguist). On returning to the UK I started working in an office as a junior secretary. My career continued on this route which led to me being a PA for 16 years for a CEO/Chairman of a FTSE 250 company - towards the end of that period I qualified with 2 postgraduate certificates – MBA (Business) and CIPD (HR) – the plan was to move into an HR career. My HR career was put on hold with the arrival of triplets! I have worked at Tall Ships for 11 years – moving from part-time to full time as my children have grown older. In my spare time I enjoy having fun with my family! Please tell us a bit about your role at Tall Ships I have 3 roles at Tall Ships – PA to the Chief Executive Officer, High Level Donor Fundraising Officer and HR Manager. What has been your most memorable moment at Tall Ships? Feeling empowered and the feeling that my input makes a difference! What is one thing you think people should know about Tall Ships?
