On Board The Fleet

The Tall Ships Youth Trust operates a mixed fleet of a 60m (493GT) square rigged brig STAVROS S NIARCHOS, and four 22m (40GT) round the world ex-Challenge Business steel yachts operating as the Challenger Fleet.

The Trust takes over 3,000 individuals to sea each year on these vessels which follow an intensive schedule 12 months of the year – see Current Voyage Schedule. Life on board is 24/7 and challenging but the Salaried Crew probably have one of the most rewarding jobs in the maritime/sailing world.

The Trust’s Brig is managed by Northern Marine Management Ltd (NMM), part of the Stena Group and the Challenger Fleet are managed in-house.
