Are there any vacancies on voyage......? |

How do I book a voyage? |
|
 |
|
If you know which voyage you want to book, contact the Reservations Team on +44(0) 23 9283 2055 to check there is availability on your choosen voyage. You can then either book online or complete a booking form. If you want to view the voyage schedules, go to Voyages-Schedule |

Can I get financial help with my voyage fees? |
|

If you are aged between 14 and 25, contact one of our Local Volunteer Support Groups they may be able to help you. Go to Contact Us - Local Groups to find the contact details of your nearest one. |

What do I need to take on my voyage? |
|
 |
|
At least eight weeks before the voyage start date, we will send you joining instructions. These will include details of where to join the Brig, Challenger Yachts and Cat, what to take with you etc.

Will everybody else on the voyage know each other? |
|

No. The majority of people will not have met each other before unless they happen to have travelled to the ship together. |

Do I need any sailing experience? |
|
 |
|
No. You don't need any experience or sailing qualifications. Full training will be given on board. |

How many crew do the Brig,Challenger Yachts and Cat take? |
|
 |
|
The ship's complement is up to 69. As well as the 48 Trainees, there are 6 Salaried Crew, 13 experienced Volunteer Crew and 2 berths for supernumerary/training berths.
The Challenger Yacht's complement is up to 18. Each yacht is run by up to 6 experienced, skilled and knowledgable seafarers - Skipper, Mate, 2 Watch Leaders and a Youth Mentor (on youth voyages). Some of these positions are held by Salaried Crew and some by experienced Volunteers. Then there is up to 12 Voyage Crew (that's you).
The Catamaran's compliment is up to 15. She will normally sail with 2 of our Crew - Skipper and Mate and on Youth Voyages she will also have a Youth Mentor on board and then up to 8 Voyage Crew.

How do I become a supporter of the Tall Ships Youth Trust? |
|
 |
|
Becoming a supporter helps to keep young people afloat. We rely on charitable donations and our supporters to keep the vessels running. Annual membership is £36, for junior membership (under 18) it is £12. For an application form please email fundraising@tallships.org or click Become a Supporter. Thank you. |

What happened to Malcolm Miller and Sir Winston Churchill? |

|
Malcolm Miller was sold in 1999 to a private individual. She will be maintained as a topsail schooner, converted below to give 5 luxury cabins and will sail in European waters. Sir Winston Churchill was sold in 2000 to an Isle of Man company. She will continue to sail as a topsail schooner, converted below to accommodate 20 young people and will sail in the Eastern Mediterranean. |
